The Burn ‘Em Plan™
Our remedy is simple. Make a plan. More than a century ago, in the wake of the Great Chicago Fire, the Commercial Club of Chicago commissioned Daniel Burnham to develop a plan where stakeholders with common interests collaborated for the greater good. The Burnham Plan made Chicago a global metropolis.
Grown In’s Burn ‘Em Plan similarly will engage stakeholders with common interests to fortify Chicago’s leadership position in commercial cannabis.
We invite your participation in the late July launch of the Burn ‘Em Plan. Grown In will convene stakeholders and thought leaders to map the strategy positioning Chicago as global leader in commercial cannabis and modeling for the world how to get things done in this ascending industry. Join us!

University of Illinois Discovery Partners Institute
The Burn ‘Em Plan Launch Meeting will be held in the Discovery Room of Discovery Partners Institute located on the 4th Floor of 200 S. Wacker Drive in Chicago. A part of the University of Illinois System, Discovery Partners Institute in collaboration with the State of Illinois and City of Chicago is standing up the Chicago-based Cannabis Research Institute.
Following the Launch Meeting we will create a blueprint for the Burn ‘Em Plan and convene again in October to review and discuss it.
Throughout the rest of 2023 and 2024, Burn ‘Em participants will meet regularly to complete the plan and begin executing it to ensure that Chicago and Illinois continue to provide the industry leadership we need to drive the industry to the levels of success we all envision.
