Join CCLSA for its inaugural event: “Legal to a Limit” exploring remedies for communities harmed by the war on drugs. #CCLSA
On April 18, 2024, the CUNY Cannabis Law Student Association (CCLSA) will host its inaugural BLUNT SPEAKER SERIES at ConBud, bringing together law students, attorneys, and cannabis business leaders from the tri-state area. This year’s panel features Coss Marte, Chief Executive Officer and owner of ConBud, one of the first recipients of NYS’s social equity cannabis licenses; Eli Northrup, Policy Director, Criminal Defense Practice at the Bronx Defenders and Director of the Bronx Cannabis Hub; Samantha O’Brien, Director of the Supervised Release Program at Fortune Society; and Jorge L. Vasquez, a civil rights and cannabis lawyer, and founding partner at Vasquez Segarra LLP. The panel discussion will be followed by a networking mixer offering light bites and refreshments.
This year’s BLUNT SPEAKER SERIES theme is “Legal to a Limit.” This theme emphasizes the potential of legal remedies beyond mere legalization to effectively address the harm endured by black and brown communities as a result of the botched war on drugs.
