Kresimir Peharda is a partner at Ropers Majeski.
As one of the leading cannabis deal attorneys in Los Angeles, his practice includes representing cultivators, manufacturers, processors and retailers, MSOs, private equity funds and public companies.
His clients generally benefit from his experience representing public companies and hands-on operational experience in three start-ups, two in healthcare and one in real estate. He represents companies in all stages of development from start-ups to public reporting companies. He often acts as outside general counsel for private companies. His practice areas include contracts, deal structure, equity compensation, governance and compliance, financing, investor relations, joint-ventures, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, reorganizations, securities, start-ups, and venture funding.
Scott Yahraus
Scott guides and support Trustees, Fiduciaries, and Business Owners on assignments involving distressed or troubled businesses and/or real estate. If family members or business partners need to be divorced from their business or troubled assets need to be transitioned, then Scott can help. He has transitioned over 120 businesses and properties away from dueling adversaries in the past 8 years. Of those cases, 23 have been receiverships over troubled cannabis operations of all kinds in CA, NV, and AZ. Scott studied business economics in undergraduate and graduate school and currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and four children.
Jason Rosell
Jason Rosell is a partner at Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP and represents debtors and creditors in complex chapter 11 cases. Mr. Rosell is also a recognized thought leader on the intersection of cannabis and insolvency law and leads the firm’s Cannabis Restructuring Group, which advises cannabis industry companies, lenders, and investors in out-of-court restructurings and related merger and acquisition transactions. Mr. Rosell regularly represents ad hoc groups of creditors in connection with cannabis-related restructurings. Mr. Rosell received his B.S. in Computer Information Systems and M.B.A at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business; he received his J.D. at Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, also part of Arizona State University. He served as a legal extern for the Honorable Redfield T. Baum, Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona, and is admitted to practice in California and New York. Mr. Rosell is resident in our San Francisco office.
