SUMMARY:10th Annual National Medical Cannabis Unity Conference
DESCRIPTION:ASA was founded in 2002 to give voice to the needs of medical cannabis patients. Over the last 20 years\, ASA has brought together patients\, policy experts\, public health experts\, attorneys\, lobbyists\, scientists\, industry associations\, and medical professionals to create the campaigns\, projects\, and programs that have broken down political\, social\, academic\, and legal barriers across the world! \nWhile the conference will be celebrating how far we have come\, we will also be sharing strategies to overcome the final hurdles to safe access. Currently there are 48 states and 5 territories with some form of access. However\, 13 states only allow low-THC or CBD only\, and 2 states (Idaho and Nebraska) do not allow any form of access. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\nWith New York’s proposed adult-use cannabis regulations released\, and first 36 conditional retail licenses approved\, it’s the perfect time to join us for the virtual cannabis networking group.\n\nIt takes the right team to put together a winning state license application\, and then launch and operate a successful cannabusiness. With video chat removing geographic boundaries\, we’ve started Coastal Cannect\, to help “cannect” experienced parties from mature markets like those on the West Coast\, with applicants and service providers on the East Coast\, to work towards East Coast cannabis licenses and opportunities.\n\n\nEach meeting will feature a brief recap of developments in New York and New Jersey\, and the following features to maximize the ability to make useful connections: \n\nThe names that appear for each of us will include not just our name\, but also our Coast (WC/EC) and a 1-2 word description of our primary role in the industry (e.g. “Jon EC Attorney”).\nThere will be multiple 12-20 min breakout sessions where attendees can join small groups in virtual tables organized by license type in a particular state (e.g. New York Retail Table 1\, New Jersey Cultivation Table 1 etc.).\n\nWe only get one chance to launch the cannabis industries in these East Coast states\, so let’s connect because together we can go higher!
